This week we are talking about the benefits of keeping a gratitude journal.

Science has fallen over itself proving how gratitude makes you not only a warmer person but a healthier one. Studies have traced a range of impressive benefits to the simple act of writing down the things for which we’re grateful—benefits including better sleep, fewer symptoms of illness, and more happiness among adults and kids alike. 


Getting Started

The basic practice is straightforward. Simply record a couple things for which you are grateful. The entries can be brief—just a single sentence—and they range from the simple (“waking up this morning”) to the sublime (“the generosity of friends”) to the timeless (“Beyonce”).
